OUR HEARTS BEAT AS ONE

We came to Omaha in 1986 at the behest of the Rebbe to create a warm and welcoming Jewish outpost in the heart of America. Throughout the years since then, we have been blessed with the support and encouragement of people from every walk of life. Together we have created a vibrant and compassionate circle of friends and families built on Jewish values.

Just as the heart is the life source for the human being, here in America’s heartland, Chabad nurtures the lives of a widely diverse group of people - including Jewish people of every affiliation as well as community members of all faiths. Through education, social services, hospitality, cultural programs, and outreach, Chabad has become a beloved and widely respected pillar of the community.

The exponential growth of Chabad’s activities has long called for a facility suited to the scope of our operation. As we finally embark upon this urgently needed expansion, we are thrilled to invite you to join us on this exciting journey towards a bright future for our children, grandchildren, and beyond.

With your participation, our new campus will be a beautiful beacon of positivity, hope, and unity in a world of discord and despair.

Our hearts beat as one as we join together to build the Chabad Community Campus of Mid-America.

Good for the Heartland Capital Campaign launches

"Chabad has welcomed us into their family and they have become ours."

—Nancy Schlessinger

“Chabad has challenged and enabled me to achieve much higher levels of understanding and appreciation for traditional Judaism in the company of welcoming, patient, and learned mentors. I support the unique mission of Chabad because it provides the Omaha Jewish community with an array of much-needed services as well as numerous opportunities for anyone to learn, experience, and gain a greater appreciation for the richness of Jewish texts, traditions, and rituals regardless of their synagogue affiliation or level of observance.”

—Stanley Edelstein

“Rabbi Mendel and his family have done a tremendous job in serving our community in every possible aspect. Nebraska deserves a new Chabad headquarters to better serve the Heartland. Our community needs to rally together so that the new Chabad Community Campus becomes a reality.”

—Tom Fellman

“Chabad in Omaha has provided a wonderfully engaging spiritual experience for our children. Whether it’s the holiday celebrations, summer camp, or visits to Chabad House, they leave every activity happy and truly excited to learn even more about our jewish heritage and traditions."

—Gene and Elysia Kowel

"We began taking our kids to Chabad as toddlers. At Chabad, they could just be kids, with no expectation that they would sit still. While being themselves, they were exposed to the sights, sounds, and tastes of Judaism, without feeling like they ‘had to.’ They absorbed the joy and made valuable memories. At Chabad, I never feel like I’m not good enough, I always feel welcomed and accepted. I feel worthy. I feel loved."

—Annette van de Kamp-Wright
